A major crash occurred during the first lap of the Monza stage of the "GT World Challenge Europe", a GT3 auto racing series.
Idman.Biz reports that the incident occurred at the first corner. Several cars collided simultaneously, creating a chaotic situation in that part of the track. The race's official social media account stated that all drivers were in good condition.
According to "GPFans", car number three of the "Mercedes-AMG Team Verstappen Racing" team was also involved in the accident. Although Dani Juncadella was able to continue the race after the incident, damage was recorded to the front of the car.
The number 64 car of "HRT Ford Racing" and Danish driver Nicki Thiim were also involved in the accident. Thiim retired from the race after the incident. According to him, there was congestion at the start and the drivers had nowhere to escape.
