George Russell wins Chinese Grand Prix sprint race

British driver George Russell, representing the Mercedes team, won the sprint race of the Chinese Grand Prix, the second stage of the 2026 Formula 1 World Championship season.

"Report" informs that the race was held on the Shanghai track.

Ferrari's Monegasque driver Charles Leclerc finished second. His teammate, British driver Lewis Hamilton, completed the top three.

The Chinese Grand Prix is one of the six championship stages in the program that include a sprint race.

Later on Saturday, participants will enter the qualifying stage for the main race scheduled for March 15.
