27-year-old British Formula 1 driver George Russell from the Mercedes team spoke about the lack of titles.
Idman.Biz reports that he compared himself to the legendary Michael Schumacher in this matter.
"I always remind myself of Schumacher at Ferrari - he spent five years with the team before winning his first championship. People only remember the years of glory, but no one remembers 1996 or 1997. These were not failures, but there were no titles at that time either. Therefore, I am ready for this, but I understand that my time will come, I just need to be patient," Russell told RacingNews365.
George finished the 2025 season in fourth place in the drivers' standings with 319 points. He has been a member of the German team since the 2022 season, replacing Valtteri Bottas.
