Franco Colapinto plans to score points at the Baku Grand Prix

Franco Colapinto, the Argentinian driver for the "Alpine" team, has stated that he plans to score points at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix in "Formula 1".

"Report" informs that he shared this on his Instagram page.

He noted that he earned his first points in the "Royal Races" precisely on the Baku track last year:

"It's been a year since my first Q3 appearance (the third and final segment in "Formula 1" that determines the top "ten" on the starting grid - ed.) and my first points scored. It's a really special memory from my second race in "Formula 1"! We are going back to Baku this weekend for a continuation."

In an interview with the Argentinian newspaper "Río Negro", the young driver shared his expectations for the race to be held in the capital of Azerbaijan:

"I am happy to return to Baku. Here, last year, I scored my first points in "Formula 1". The Baku track is one of the most beautiful tracks of the season, especially the narrow section in Icherisheher. This weekend, it is important to take advantage of all the opportunities that will arise on such a difficult track. It is necessary to achieve maximum results."

Franco Colapinto is currently in 20th place in the 2025 championship. The Argentinian driver has not yet scored any points this season.

It should be noted that the Azerbaijan Grand Prix will be held between September 19-21.
