Formula 1 has confirmed the schedule for sprint races for the 2026 season.
According to Idman.biz, the sprint races will be held in China (March 13-15), USA (Miami, May 1-3), Canada (May 22-24), Great Britain (July 3-5), Netherlands (August 21-23) and Singapore (October 9-11) in the new year.
The Azerbaijan Grand Prix will not host a sprint race weekend again, although it was historically the first Baku stage to adopt the new sprint format within the "royal races". This happened at the 2023 Azerbaijan Grand Prix, after which Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc won the sprint race.
It is worth noting that sprints will be held in Shanghai and Miami for the third time in a row, Silverstone will return to this race for the first time since 2021, and Montreal, Zandvoort and Singapore will host such races for the first time. Oscar Piastri (324 points) leads the personal standings. He is ahead of Lando Norris (293) and current champion Max Verstappen (230).
The 2025 Azerbaijan Grand Prix will be held this week, September 19-21.
