"Formula 1" leadership is planning to return the Bahrain or Saudi Arabian stages to the 2026 calendar, provided the situation in the region stabilizes.
Idman.Biz reports with reference to "The Telegraph" that one of the stages may already be added to the schedule this season. The two-week break between the Singapore Grand Prix (October 9-11) and the US Grand Prix (October 23-25) is considered the most suitable time.
Mark Gallagher, former manager of Jordan and Red Bull, said about the issue:
"As soon as the situation improves, the races will return - it doesn't matter whether it's this year, next year or later".
At the same time, organizers are also discussing the option of enriching the calendar with the Jeddah race by shifting the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix by one week (from December 6 to December 13). In this case, the season will end with four consecutive races - Las Vegas, Qatar, Jeddah and Abu Dhabi stages.
