Visa procedures have been simplified for foreigners and stateless persons arriving in the Republic of Azerbaijan in connection with the Formula 1 race to be held in Baku in 2025.
İdman.biz reports with reference to AZERTAC that President Ilham Aliyev has signed an Order in this regard.
According to the Order, it has been determined that foreigners and stateless persons arriving in the Republic of Azerbaijan in connection with the Formula 1 race to be held in Baku in 2025 and presenting any of the documents specified in the 2nd part of this Order can obtain a visa at the international airports of the Republic of Azerbaijan from August 25 to September 30, 2025.
One of the following documents is considered the basis for issuing a visa:
Accreditation card confirming accreditation in accordance with the relevant rules of "Formula One Management Limited" Company and the International Automobile Federation, the international organizers of Formula 1 races, or another document confirming accreditation;
Accreditation card confirming accreditation at the Baku City Ring Operating Company;
A ticket for the Formula 1 race to be held in Baku in 2025, including an e-ticket, or a document confirming the purchase of the ticket.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan:
Shall inform "Formula One Management Limited" Company, the International Automobile Federation and the relevant bodies of foreign countries about the simplification of visa procedures for foreigners and stateless persons arriving in the Republic of Azerbaijan in connection with the Formula 1 race to be held in Baku in 2025;
It must ensure that information on the simplification of visa procedures for foreigners and stateless persons arriving in the Republic of Azerbaijan in connection with the Formula 1 race to be held in Baku in 2025, as well as the possibility for foreigners and stateless persons to obtain an electronic visa through the "ASAN Visa" system, is placed on the Internet information resources of the Ministry, as well as the embassies and consulates of the Republic of Azerbaijan in foreign countries.
The State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan must inform airlines operating flights to the Republic of Azerbaijan about the simplification of visa procedures for foreigners and stateless persons arriving in the Republic of Azerbaijan in connection with the Formula 1 race to be held in Baku in 2025.
