Ahead of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, the International Automobile Federation (FIA) presented updates to the Baku circuit and confirmed the locations of two DRS (Drag Reduction System) zones.
Idman.biz reports that new asphalt has been laid in the city compared to last year. The updates affect sections from turn 2 to turn 4 (mainly on the left side of the road), to the left up to turn 4, the area between turns 7 and 8, the right side of turn 12, the section between turns 14 and 15, and the left side of turn 18.
The DRS zones remain unchanged. The first zone is activated 54 meters after turn 2, and the inter-car distance measurement point coincides with the second safety car line. The second DRS zone starts 347 meters after turn 20, and the measurement point is in the middle of the turn.
