The International Automobile Federation (FIA) commission has approved changes to the Formula 1 rules for the upcoming season.
Idman.Biz reports this with reference to the organization's official website.
From now on, drivers will be able to change their numbers. Since 2014, there has been a system in Formula 1 where drivers are assigned permanent numbers and retained throughout their Formula 1 careers.
Details on how the new system will be implemented have not been disclosed.
Recall that there is one exception among the numbers: only the current world champion can take number one, although the champion has the right to refuse number one and keep his permanent number, as Lewis Hamilton did at Mercedes.
