Two-time Formula 1 champion and Aston Martin driver Fernando Alonso spoke about the possible reduction of race distances in the world championship.
Idman.biz reports that Formula 1 CEO Stefano Domenicali had previously expressed his opinion on this matter.
"Shorter races? I don't know, I'll be watching TV when that happens. Jokes aside, with Domenicali we are in safe hands. But I don't think there is a need to shorten the Grand Prix. Football matches are long enough. But no one is talking about reducing matches to 60 minutes or doing something similar.
This is a problem for society and children, but not for sports, so I don't think there is a need for it," said Alonso.
