Anthony Davidson, the 46-year-old British "Formula 1" driver and current "Sky Sports" expert, has shared his thoughts on Isack Hadjar's chances of beating Max Verstappen at Red Bull in the 2026 season.
Idman.Biz reports that, according to Davidson, no matter the rules, Isack Hadjar will not be able to beat Verstappen.
"Let's be honest, it's not just in this set of regulations where Max has annihilated every teammate. You think back to pre-2022 where he had teammates like Pierre Gasly and Alex Albon, who are really high-level drivers. It was a completely different generation of Formula 1 cars and he did the same to them as he's doing to his current teammates. Perhaps it's a little bit naive for Isack to think he's just going to be on equal terms with him because of the regulations and therefore challenge the four-time world champion.
We'll see how Hadjar copes with it. But next year's championship will be a thinking drivers' championship - because of these cars and the need to calculate energy management every step of the way. Max is going to be like a duck to water in that element," Davidson told Sky Sports.
