Former Aston Martin technical director Dan Fallows has spoken about seven-time world champion and Ferrari driver Lewis Hamilton.
"I would say that Lewis Hamilton is a key figure in the driver market. He is in the same category as Fernando Alonso. Even though Lewis faced some challenges last year, these are still drivers who are capable of a lot. Hamilton is a pilot who can really improve his performance when needed.
The question is, does Lewis still have the desire to race? Does he have the desire to continue as much as he can, even if he is in the cockpit of a car that is not the fastest? I'm not sure Hamilton is still living to race. Although this may be an insult to Lewis, who is committed to the sport. But I don't see Hamilton as someone who will continue simply because he loves racing. He wants to be competitive, to drive a car that can win.
If Hamilton decides to leave, he will announce it early and give Ferrari time to find a new driver. Hamilton's decision could trigger the entire transfer chain. Oliver Bearman seems like an obvious candidate for the Ferrari seat, but there may be other drivers" - Dan Fallows told RacingNews365.
