"Car 4 overtook car 22 off the track. However, this happened because car 22 made several defensive maneuvers to protect its position. If car 22 had not made these maneuvers, car 4 would have overtaken it on the track, but was forced to go off the track to avoid a collision.
The driving standards rules state that if a pilot is "forced off the track", this is not considered intentional. Although technically the overtaking took place off the track, we decided not to take further action based on the above," the statement said.
It should be reminded that Lando Norris finished the race in third place, becoming the world champion of the 2025 Formula 1 season.
