New grandstands are being built for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix of Formula 1.
"Report" informs that the press service of the Baku City Circuit has released information about this.
This year, it is planned to install two additional grandstands around the Baku City Circuit. The installation of the grandstands has already begun. Considering the increasing interest in the Azerbaijan Grand Prix by both local and foreign fans, as a result of the expansion of the infrastructure, the capacity of the grandstands will be increased by another 1,500 seats, exceeding 20,000.
In connection with the preparation works, it is planned to impose temporary restrictions on some parts of the Seaside Boulevard. Residents and guests of the capital are asked to show understanding during this period.
It should be noted that more than 76,000 fans watched the Azerbaijan Grand Prix of Formula 1 in 2024 live from the grandstands over four days. The Baku stage will take place on September 19-21 this year.
