Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc has explained how the team can compete with Mercedes.
Idman.Biz reports that he stated that everything is not easy.
"I don't think it's as close as it looks. We see a lot of competition in the first races, and that's great. But with these cars, if you fall behind even a little bit, you immediately lose a lot of lap time.
So, our only chance to keep up with them is to push them in the first laps. But as soon as they get clean air, their true pace emerges. And I think that four-five tenths we saw in the first races are still there. So, they still have a significant advantage. But that doesn't bother me - we have a few things in the development stage.
We need to focus on ourselves and not try to overdo it, because that never works in these situations. And then we'll see where it leads," RacingNews365 quoted Leclerc as saying.
