Former Formula 1 boss Bernie Ecclestone has reacted sharply to the McLaren team management's order for Australian driver Oscar Piastri to return second place to his British teammate Lando Norris at the end of the Italian Grand Prix.
Idman.biz reports that Ecclestone accused the team management of injustice.
"They are always talking about justice. But is it fair that Piastri is punished for a team mistake? No. There is a feeling that the team favors a future F1 champion named Lando Norris. Mistakes like slow pit stops, engine and suspension malfunctions may be less common, but they are part of the sport," said Ecclestone.
