Azerbaijani teenage pilot Davin Jafarov has received offers from the "McLaren GT4" and "Formula-4" teams.
Idman.Biz reports that this was due to the driver's successful performance in the closing race of the season held at the Bombarral international track in Portugal.
Although Jafarov started the race in the EK125 category with the BMB engine in karting as the leader, he did not finish in the semi-final due to engine failure. However, he managed to take 2nd place in the final.
At the awards ceremony held after the race, the young athlete won the fastest pilot cup of the EK125 category in Portugal.
It should be noted that Davin Jafarov recently broke the 12 overtaking record by making a record number of 24 overtakes at the World Cup held in Italy and set the fastest lap several times. The successful performance of our representative in the international arena has also attracted the attention of the management of the "McLaren GT4" team in Portugal. After the race, he was invited to test drives at the famous "Autódromo Fernanda Pires da Silva" track in Estoril. D. Jafarov's high potential and the possibility of success in world-class races in the future have also aroused the interest of the "Renault" team. The team's representatives invited the 16-year-old pilot to the "Formula-4" tests.
The pilot had previously received an offer from the "Formula-4" Aston Martin junior development" team. The young Azerbaijani pilot, who has new opportunities ahead of him, must make a decision by the end of December.
