"Aston Martin" has launched a comprehensive investigation into the reasons for Fernando Alonso's early exit from the Italian Grand Prix.
İdman.biz reports that the driver was forced to end the race early due to a suspension failure on his car after crossing the curb in the Ascari chicane.
Team's chief operating officer, Mike Krack, emphasized that there were no signs of Alonso making any obvious mistakes on the track.
"We didn't see anything. It would have been easy to say he went wide or something like that, but we didn't see anything unusual - so it's important to analyze everything thoroughly. It's easy to blame everything on the pilot. It's easy to blame everything on an incident. But you have to stick to the facts. All we could do in this area was simply warn Lance Stroll to be careful when passing through that spot," said Krack.
