"Apple" has acquired the rights to broadcast "Formula 1" races in the US for five years.
Idman.Biz reports this with reference to the championship's press service.
The total value of the contract is estimated at approximately $750 million.
From 2026, "Formula 1" races will be available to all "Apple TV" subscribers. This is the first time the company has decided to broadcast sporting events in this way.
"Apple" already broadcasts games from the US top-division football league, but charges subscribers extra for these broadcasts.
"This is an incredibly exciting partnership for both "Formula 1" and "Apple", and it will allow us to further increase our growth potential in the US through the right content and innovative distribution channels," said Stefano Domenicali, CEO of "Formula 1".
