Mercedes driver Andrea Kimi Antonelli has summed up the results of the third day of testing at the Barcelona track.
Idman.Biz reports that he said they are running to get used to the new car ahead of Bahrain.
"Today was better for me than Monday, although the wet track this morning limited my performance. In the afternoon we were able to complete a full race distance, increase the mileage and collect a lot of data for the team. This car is completely new and very different from last year's car, so I'm starting to get used to it every lap. This is a constant learning process for me as a driver and for the team, so it's very helpful to accumulate as many miles as possible.
We completed our program on both days. That's the only real purpose of these tests and I hope our third and final day goes smoothly. Maybe it will be this morning if the weather is dry. However, regardless of the conditions we face tomorrow or Friday, we are focused on increasing our mileage and preparing for the trip to Bahrain," the team's press service quoted Antonelli as saying.
