Details have emerged about the road accident involving "Formula 1" pilot and young "Mercedes" driver Andrea Kimi Antonelli in San Marino.
Idman.Biz reports that the incident occurred in the Serravalle area, near where the pilot lives. According to "San Marino RTV", the "Mercedes" AMG GT 63 PRO car driven by the athlete lost control on the road to the city.
The car first crashed into a pole on the right side of the road. The car was then thrown into the center of the road, hit the barrier twice, changed direction again and crashed into the wall.
Antonelli escaped the incident unharmed. For this reason, his participation in the pre-season tests in Bahrain will not be jeopardized.
It is noted that the vehicle in question was gifted to Antonelli by "Mercedes" and this was announced just five days before the incident. The car is worth $240,000 (408,000 AZN).
