Former Formula 1 driver Adrian Sutil has been arrested on charges of fraud and embezzlement as part of an international operation.
Idman.Biz reports, citing Bild, that further details regarding the matter have not yet been disclosed.
Adrian competed in Formula 1 from 2007 to 2014. He was a driver for teams such as Spyker, Force India, and Kick Sauber.
This is not Sutil's first encounter with the law. In 2011, Adrian was involved in a noisy incident at a Shanghai nightclub and injured Lotus team executive Eric Lux.
Sutil was found guilty of causing grievous bodily harm and sentenced to 18 months of probation and a fine. This incident led to his temporary departure from Formula 1.
