Azerbaijan's young pilot Davin Jafarov has successfully completed the final race of the season in karting, held in Madeira, Portugal.
Idman.Biz reports that the 16-year-old pilot competed in the DD2 MAX category for the first time.
He was the only pilot representing the "BirelArt" team in the tournament.
The three-day race took place in unfavorable weather conditions. On the 1040-meter Madeira track, D. Jafarov finished third, but attracted attention by demonstrating the fastest lap of the race.
D. Jafarov also made history as the first foreign pilot to race on the Madeira track. With this, the young athlete concluded the current karting season.
The next karting season is scheduled to begin in February 2026. D. Jafarov plans to participate in world and European championships, as well as a number of international tournaments next year. The young pilot will continue his preparations for the new season in Portugal and Spain.
It should be noted that the race is distinguished by its high difficulty, as pilots move counterclockwise on this track.
