The "Sheki Open" international chess festival continues. According to Sport24.az, 260 chess players from 9 countries are participating in tournaments A and B.
After three rounds in the main competition, a clear leader has emerged. Azerbaijani international master Vugar Manafov, who started the tournament with three consecutive victories, is in the lead. Six chess players are half a point behind him, including the rating favorite of the competition, Ukrainian Vitali Bernadski, and Khagan Ahmad.
It should be noted that the tournament is organized according to the Swiss system and consists of nine rounds. The competition will end on June 25.
