The Azerbaijani national team will play its ninth-round matches today at the 46th World Chess Olympiad held in Samarkand, Uzbekistan.
Idman.Biz reports that the men's team will face the Armenian team in this round.
The women's national team will meet the Czech selection.
After the eighth round, the Azerbaijani men's team is placed fifth with 13 points, while the women's team is 21st with 11 points.
Note that the World Chess Olympiad consists of 11 rounds under the Swiss system and will conclude on September 27.
