Farid Orujov crowned chess champion in Ganja

The "Ganja Open 2026" international chess festival, part of the "Azerbaijan Chess Tour" series, has concluded. sport24.az reports that the press service of the Azerbaijan Chess Federation has issued a statement on the matter.

 

Distinguished chess players were awarded at the closing ceremony of the event organized jointly by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Federation.

 

Farid Orujov, who scored 6.5 points out of 9 rounds in the A tournament, secured first place by leaving all his opponents behind.
