Shakhriyar Mamedyarov Fails to Qualify for "Freestyle Chess Grand Slam" in Las Vegas

Azerbaijani chess player Shakhriyar Mamedyarov participated in the qualifying tournament of the third stage for a ticket to the "Freestyle Chess Grand Slam" in Las Vegas.

Idman.biz reports that our grandmaster lost to Ukrainian Martin Kravtsiv with a score of 0:2 in the 1/4 finals.

The winner of the qualifying tournament was American Hans Niemann. He defeated Belarusian Denis Lazavik in the final.

It should be noted that 14 chess players, including Magnus Carlsen, will compete in Las Vegas.
