Idman.biz reports that the best result among Azerbaijani grandmasters in rapid belongs to Shahriyar Mamedyarov.
He is in 19th place with 2701 points. Teymur Rajabov is 32nd (2669 points), and Eltaj Safarli is 72nd (2627).
The leader in rapid is Norwegian Magnus Carlsen (2819). He is followed by Chinese Ding Liren (2776) and Frenchman Alireza Firouzja (2762).
In the blitz rating, Mamedyarov is in 39th place with 2676 points. Rajabov is in 45th place with 2663 points. There are two more of our chess players in the top 100: Eltaj Safarli is 73rd with 2634 points, and Rauf Mammadov is 97th with 2609 points.
Carlsen is also the leader in blitz (2883). Hikaru Nakamura from the USA is in second place (2838), and Alireza Firouzja (2814) from France is in third place.
