Namig Guliyev Takes 20th Place at French Open Championship

Azerbaijani chess player Namig Guliyev participated in the French Open Championship. Sport24.az reports that the competition was held in Saint-Maur-des-Fossés in a rapid chess format.

I

n the blitz, Guliyev scored 9.5 points out of a possible 13, taking 20th place. The winner of the championship was Frenchman Maxime Lagarde with 11.5 points.

 

It should be noted that a total of 608 chess players participated in the competition.
