Azerbaijani chess player Misraddin Iskandarov has joined the leading group in the international tournament held in Denizli, Turkey.
Idman.biz reports that he has won three consecutive games after a draw in the first round.
Scoring 3.5 points, Iskandarov is at the top of the tournament table along with three other participants.
Another Azerbaijani chess player, Shiroglan Talibov, who is in seventh place, is half a point behind them.
It should be noted that a total of 82 chess players are participating in the tournament, which is held according to the Swiss system and will consist of nine rounds.
