Azerbaijani chess player Khazar Babazade has won the "Shamakhi Open" international chess festival. According to Sport24.az, he defeated Ahmad Ahmadzade in the IX round, bringing his score to seven.
Vitali Bernadski also finished the competition with the same result, defeating Vugar Manafov. However, the Ukrainian chess player took second place due to lagging behind the leader in additional indicators.
Khagan Ahmad finished "Shamakhi Open" in third place with 6.5 points.
It should be noted that "Shamakhi Open" was held at the initiative of the Azerbaijan Chess Federation within the framework of "Chess Tour Azerbaijan".
