The leader has changed in the international chess tournament "Shamakhi Open". According to Sport24.az, Khazar Babazada, who defeated Tunar Davudova in the VII round, has risen to the top of the tournament table.
Babazada, who collected 5.5 points, is half a point ahead of Khagan Ahmad and Georgian Mikhail Kekelidze. Ahmad suffered his first defeat in the tournament by losing to Kekelidze.
It should be noted that "Shamakhi Open" is held at the initiative of the Azerbaijan Chess Federation within the framework of "Chess Tour Azerbaijan".
