The fourth LANDAU Chess Festival among teenagers, organized by the "LANDAU School" Education Complex with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and the Azerbaijan Chess Federation, has ended.
İdman.biz reports that Ziya Qubatov, Yusif Ahadzade, and Mikayil Huseynov took first place in various age categories.
Daniel Konovalov, Fatima Abdulova, and Nurlan Ganizade finished in second place. Vugar Alizade, Mehin Mastiyeva, and Matin Bakirli became bronze medalists.
Banu Mammadzade, Esra Bakhishova, and Khadija Seyidli, who showed the best results among girls, were awarded special prizes. In the team competitions, chess school number 3 took first place. "Chess Klub" and chess school number 4 shared 2nd-3rd places, respectively.
It should be noted that 150 teenagers from various cities and regions competed in the tournament.
