The "International Whitsun" chess tournament held in Munich, Germany, has concluded. Sport24.az reports that our grandmaster Eltaj Safarli took second place in the competition.
In the 9th round, he defeated Austrian Kirill Alekseenko, bringing his score to 7.5 points. Although Eltaj caught up with the leader Elham Amar, he lagged behind the Norwegian in additional indicators.
It should be noted that a total of 152 chess players participated in the tournament.
