Our chess player Eltaj Safarli is keeping his medal chances alive at the "International Whitsun" tournament held in Munich, Germany. Sport24.az reports that he defeated Georgian Nikoloz Petriashvili in the eighth round.
Safarli, who scored 6.5 points, is in fourth place according to additional indicators, behind Momchil Petkov (Bulgaria) and Kirill Alekseenko (Austria).
