President of the Azerbaijan Chess Federation (ACF), FIDE Vice-President Mahir Mammadov met with the head of the Turkish Chess Federation, Fethi Apaydın, in Izmir.
According to "Report", the bilateral meeting with the participation of federation representatives discussed the development of relations, exchange of experience in the organization of prestigious competitions, and future plans of the Chess Association of Turkic-speaking Countries.
M. Mammadov presented F. Apaydın with a gift decorated with national ornaments. At the same time, Apaydın also presented Mammadov with a souvenir gift on behalf of the organization.
During the visit, the head of the ACF addressed the participants of the blitz tournament of the 11th Cesme International Chess Tournament and then made a symbolic first move.
