A chess tournament will be held among media representatives on July 22 - National Press Day, organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijan Chess Federation, with the support of "Sirab" and "RAHAT" store chains.
Idman.biz reports that the competition will be held on July 13 at the Republican Chess Center.
The tournament will consist of groups A and B. The winner and prize-winners will be determined after 7 rounds. 5 minutes will be given for each game, and 5 seconds will be added for each move. The first three participants in each group will receive cash prizes and valuable gifts. Only the owners of the first place will be awarded with a diploma.
It should be noted that the Azerbaijan Chess Federation traditionally organizes chess competitions among journalists every year. This tournament will be the seventh competition in a row.
