The leader of the "Shamakhi Open" international chess festival has changed.
Idman.biz reports that Khazar Babazade, who defeated Tunar Davudov in the VII round, is leading the tournament table.
Babazade scored 5.5 points and is half a point ahead of Khagan Ahmad and Georgian Mikheil Kekelidze. Ahmad, who was previously leading, suffered his first defeat in the tournament, losing to Kekelidze.
It should be noted that the "Shamakhi Open" is held at the initiative of the Azerbaijan Chess Federation within the framework of "Chess Tour Azerbaijan".
