The order of games of Azerbaijani chess players in the first stage of the World Cup to be held in Batumi has been determined. Sport24.az reports that Govhar Beydullayeva will start with white pieces against Anahita Zahedifar (Iran), and Ulviyya Fataliyeva against Jiling Zhang (Australia).
In the games on July 6, they will have the right to make the first move, and the next day they will play with black pieces.
Khanim Balajayeva will start meetings with Elnaz Kaliakhmet (Kazakhstan), and Gulnar Mammadova with Yunshan Li (China) with black pieces, and the next day they will play with white pieces.
Participants are given three days for each stage: first, two games of classic chess with a change of color, and then, if necessary, a tie-break.
It should be noted that a total of 107 chess players will participate in the World Cup, who will compete not only for the championship, but also for three tickets to the Candidates Tournament.
