Azerbaijani chess player takes 4th place in blitz tournament

Azerbaijani chess player Eltaj Safarli is participating in the "Grand Prix PlusCity" tournament in Linz, Austria.

Idman.biz reports that the competition is held in a rapid game format.

Safarli took fourth place in the blitz competition. He scored 10 points out of 13 games, half a point behind the silver and bronze medalists.

Iranian grandmaster Parham Maghsoodloo won the tournament with 12 points.

Now Safarli is waiting for the rapid tournament.
