Azerbaijani chess player Azer Mirzoyev took 9th place at the "Orjan Lindroth Memorial" held in Nassau, Bahamas.
Idman.biz reports that he finished the tournament with a victory by defeating US representative Alisa Melekhina in the final stage.
Mirzoyev was able to enter the top "ten" in the tournament with five points.
During the competition, Mirzoyev won four games, drew twice, and lost three times.
American Brendan Jacobson took first place with 6.5 points.
