He lost to Iranian Parham Maghsoodloo, the third participant in the competition according to the rating.
Ahmad Ahmadzade, who scored two points, is currently in 31st place.
Read Samadov and Muhammad Muradli, who drew with each other in the last round, have 1.5 points each.
Dutch representative Anish Giri leads the competition with 3.5 points.
