Tofiq Musayev will participate in the first historical UFC tournament to be held in Azerbaijan.
According to Idman.biz, citing Baku City Circuit, the Azerbaijani athlete has signed a contract with the world's leading mixed martial arts organization and will fight at UFC Fight Night: Hill vs Rountree.
His opponent is Kyrgyz fighter Myktybek Orolbai, who competes in the lightweight division. Thus, Tofiq Musayev became the third Azerbaijani fighter to sign a contract with the UFC.
The tournament will be held on June 21 at the Baku Crystal Hall. The main fight of the night will be between former UFC light heavyweight champion Jamal Hill and former title contender Khalil Rountree. The second most important fight of the night will be between our compatriot Rafael Fiziev and Chilean representative Ignacio Bahamondes in the lightweight division. Another participant in the tournament, Azerbaijani fighter Nazim Sadykhov, will also step into the octagon. He will face his Brazilian opponent Nicolas Motta.
