Kazakhstan's Azat Maksym, who will replace Japan's Kyoji Horiguchi at the UFC tournament in Baku, has not fought since February 2024.
Idman.biz reports that the representative of Kazakhstan will face Russian Tagir Ulanbekov at the Crystal Hall arena.
Maksum debuted in the UFC in 2023 and defeated American Tyson Nam. In his next fight, he lost to Charles Johnson on points. His next fight with US representative Si Jay Vergara was scheduled for August 2024, but was canceled due to injuries to both fighters.
It should be noted that the UFC tournament in Baku will be held on June 21.
