8 Azerbaijani athletes have advanced to the 1/4 finals at the "Heydar Aliyev Cup-2025" international tournament among junior boys and girls boxers held in Baku.
According to "Report", on the second day of the competition, which was attended by 8 countries, Huseyn Guliyev (48 kg), Yusif Aliyev, Tunar Mehdiyev (both 52 kg), Sadiq Musayev (54 kg), Yusif Hasanli, Aflatun Ismiyev (both 57 kg), Huseyn Vahabov and Turgay Abbasov (both 75 kg) registered their names in the next stage.
On the third day of the tournament held at the Baku Boxing Center, there will be 28 fights among boys and 6 among girls.
It should be noted that in the competition, which was attended by 216 (185 boys, 31 girls) boxers, winners will be determined in 14 weight categories for boys and 9 for girls. The final matches of the "Heydar Aliyev Cup-2025" will be held on May 21.
