"Heydar Aliyev Cup-2025": 17 of our boxers will compete in the final

The semi-final stage of the "Heydar Aliyev Cup-2025" international tournament among junior boxers has concluded in Baku.

Idman.biz reports that 6 boys and 11 girls from the Azerbaijani national team have qualified for the final in the competition attended by 8 countries.

In the decisive match for the boys, our representatives in the 44 kg weight category will face each other. In the girls' competition, the Azerbaijani final will take place in 4 weight categories (46 kg, 48 kg, 50 kg, 52 kg).

18 of our boxers have already secured a bronze medal. Hasrat Mammadov, Abdulrahim Mammadov (both 44 kg), Gardash Rahimov (46 kg), Muhammad Rasulov (50 kg), Ali Jamalzade (52 kg), Sadiq Musayev (54 kg), Yusif Hasanli, Aflatun Ismiyev (both 57 kg), Nurlan Suleymanov (66 kg), Adil Zalov (70 kg), Nijat Imanov, Huseyn Vahabov (both 75 kg), Fatima Aliyeva, Zahra Salimzade (both 54 kg), Sama Huseynova, Mirrukiyya Abdumajidova (both 57 kg), Madina Mammadova (60 kg) and Sama Abbasova (70 kg) finished the tournament in 3rd place.

It should be noted that the final matches of the competition will be held today. The girls' competition at the Baku Boxing Center will start at 12:00, and the boys' competition will start at 14:00.
