Azerbaijani boxers have shocked their rivals with the high results they achieved at the Heydar Aliyev Cup-2025 international tournament among juniors held in Baku.
Agasi Mammadov, coach of the Azerbaijani national team of junior boys, said this in an interview with "Report".
He stated that they were satisfied with the team's performance:
"Our athletes shocked their rivals with their results. We will continue to shake the world in boxing. Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Turkey, which are well-known countries in this sport, came to Baku with their leading athletes. They participated in the competition with their first team. The number 1, 2 and 3 boxers of all three teams entered the ring. And our children defeated them all. Saftar Mammadzade (+80 kg) knocked out the boxers considered the strongest among juniors."
A.Mammadov said that the national team will have a training camp in 10-15 days. He said that they will seriously prepare for the upcoming international tournaments and the European Championship.
It should be noted that the Azerbaijani boxing team became the winner of the Heydar Aliyev Cup-2025 international tournament among juniors held in Baku .
