Two Azerbaijani wrestlers have reached the finals at the VI Islamic Solidarity Games held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Idman.Biz reports that Ruzanna Mammadova in the 62 kg weight category among women won the semifinal against Nigina Sabirova from Uzbekistan with a score of 6:0 and advanced to the final.
Islam Bazarqanov, competing in freestyle wrestling at 57 kg, reached the 1/8 finals after his opponent Tambi Roland (Cameroon) was removed from the competition. In the following stages, Bazarqanov won 4:2 against Ali Momenijoujadeni (Iran) in the 1/4 finals, and in the semifinals he won 10:0 against Said Zazai (Afghanistan) and advanced to the final.
It should be noted that the Islamic Games will end on November 21.
