The U-23 European Wrestling Championship has started in Zrenjanin, Serbia.

It was reported that Vasif Bagirov in the 57 kg weight category defeated Frenchman Rasul Galburayev with a "touch" and qualified for the semi-finals.
Musa Agayev, competing in the 65 kg weight category, defeated his Italian opponent Mattia Bientinesi with a full advantage (10:0) and advanced to the 1/4 finals. However, he stopped competing in this stage, losing to Belarusian Magomedkhan Magomedkhanov with a score of 4:7.
In the 70 kg weight category, Ramik Heybatov defeated Polish Daniel Kulchinski with a score of 9:4 and made his name in the 1/4 finals.
In the 79 kg weight category, Sabuhi Amiraslanov defeated Belarusian Aleksandr Viarbitski with a score of 11:4 and advanced to the next stage.
In the 97 kg weight category, Zafar Aliyev defeated Armenian Gurgen Simonyan with a score of 6:2 and advanced to the semi-finals.
It should be noted that the U-23 European Championship will last until March 15.
