Rovshan Bayramov, the coach of the Azerbaijan national Greco-Roman wrestling team and two-time Olympic silver medalist, answered these questions to Idman.Biz.
R.Bayramov noted that the last Azerbaijan Wrestling Championship, despite the absence of most of the national team's leading athletes, was remembered for interesting matches and the emergence of promising wrestlers.
"For example, Aykhan Javadov, who confidently won over much more experienced wrestlers in the 60 kg weight category, can be noted. His final match with Ziyad Zeynalov became a real highlight of the tournament. The same can be said about the duel between Ziya Babashov and Sakit Guliyev in the 63 kg weight category, where Sakit won in a tense struggle. Of course, the championship was also remembered for the final match of the Ahmadiev brothers – this is a unique event in wrestling, since brothers fought for the "gold" medal in such a high-level tournament," said Rovshan Bayramov.
